He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Jones and Elverna Jones; his brother Donald; and his sister-in-law Gylena. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Mary Ives; and his sons, Donald (Simona) of Austin and Ronald (Georgina) of Melbourne. He is also survived by extended family, including a brother and his wife, brothers-in-law and their wives, nieces and nephews.
