He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Simon and Bonnie Simon; his daughters, Lori Jane, Jami Lea, Lori Richardson of Wilson, NC and Jami Simon of New York, NY; and his grandchildren, Ryan Richardson (Karen) of Chapel Hill, NC and Allison Richardson of Greenville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that gifts be given to the building fund of the First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Ave., Ames, Iowa 50010.
