Linda Glantz Ward Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2025, at the age of 77, Linda Glantz Ward of Ames, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William G. Dial and Mabel A. Dial (Burger); and her sister Donna Flanagan. She is survived by: her husband Chester D. Ward (Doug); her children, Lisa Glantz (Paul Geilenfeldt), Serene Bailey (Phillip), Elisabeth Ward and Joseph Ward (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Huston Williamson, Jack, Isabelle, Eleanor Ward, Megan, Patrick, Sarah, Rachel, Daniel Bailey, Reid Seitter, Blake Geilenfeldt (Raychel) and Brayden Geilenfeldt; her great grandchild Levi Geilenfeldt; her sibling's children, Brenda McCloud (Scott) and Brad Flanagan (Jessica); her great-nephews, Austin, Zachary and Avery McCloud; her cousin Cindy Olson (Andy); Hannah, Delilah Flanagan, William Flanagan, Carter and Cooper McCloud.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home (502 Douglas Ave, Ames, IA 50010). A memorial service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Memorial Lutheran Church (2228 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50014).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Ames Public Library, Heartland of Story County, the Mary Greeley Foundation, and Mary Greeley Home Hospice.
