He is survived by: his daughter Karen of Ames; his granddaughters, Amanda Dougherty (Neil) of Ankeny and Dana Hunt (Yassir Obeid) of Ames; his great grandchildren, Jensen Dougherty, Phoebe Hunt, Ruqaiyah Obeid, Abu Bakr Obeid and Uthman Obeid; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Miller (Clabaugh) and Ron Miller.
