With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Murray Wayne Hefley (Ames, Iowa), who passed away on May 8, 2018 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Riley and Blake. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Robert Wilke, Laura Hammitt (Cory), Melinda Leon (Michael) and Allison; his grandson Finn Hammitt; his stepgrandson Van Leon; his brother Lynn Hefley (Nancy); his mother-in-law Beulah Johnson; and his brother-in-law Alan Johnson (Roberta). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The celebration of life for Wayne will be held at Reiman Gardens in Ames on May 21, 2018, at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Israel Family Hospice House or to a charity of your choice.
