He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Baxter and Minnie Baxter (Nier); his father-in-law Vernon McKibben; and his brother-in-law Douglas Kruse. He is survived by : his wife Carol of Ames; his brother Melvin Baxter (Alma); his nephew Lucas Baxter (Erin); his niece Annalyn Baxter of Ankeny; his mother-in-law Marilyn McKibben of Marshalltown; his daughters, Christine of Des Moines and Dena of Ames; his granddaughters, Brittney of Indianola, Katelyn of Indianola and Annalise of Ames; his great grandchildren, Elijah, Alivia, Jeramiah, Masyn and Briar; his siblings-in-law, Maralee Kruse of Indianola and Jeffrey Mckibben (Kris) of Newton; and his pet Murphy.
