It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Kent Hayes of Ames, Iowa, born in Boone, Iowa, who passed away on November 15, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, George Hayes and Veryle "Polly" Littell; and his stepfather Dick Littell. He is survived by : his sister Vicki Hemstreet (Steve) of Boone; his nephew Aaron Hemstreet of Boone; his niece Sarah Hemstreet Frost (Dustin); and his great-niece Hannah Frost. He is also survived by several cousins; and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Family of Steven Hayes.
