He is survived by: his spouse Eleanor Finnessy; his children, Margaret Elbert, Peter Benson, Nora Benson and John Elbert (Sally); and also, Michael Elbert, Christie Doe and Shannon Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
