We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Shirley Ann Schoon of Anamosa, Iowa. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Shirley Ann Schoon to show support.

She was predeceased by: her husband Harlan; her daughter Connie Hinrichs; her parents, Clifford McDonald and Louise McDonald; her stepmother Hazel McDonald; and her sister Donna Schoon.

She is survived by: her children, Diane Miller (Bob) of Maitland, FL, Randy Schoon (Carolyn) of Longwood, Patricia Clymer (Greg) of Anamosa, IA and Dennie Hinrichs; her brother Jack McDonald of Greene; and her close friend Luke Seeley of Anamosa. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A public viewing will be held at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa from 9-10 a. m. on Saturday, September 19, followed by an open-air memorial gathering (social distancing and face masks) to be held at the Wapsi Anna Park near the swimming pool in Anamosa from 10:30-11:30.

Memorials may be made in Shirley's name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research or Samaritan's Purse.
