He was predeceased by : his parent Marsetta Simmons; and his sister Nancy Fitzwater. He is survived by : his father James Simmons (Jean); his wife Melissa Simmons; his children, Marsetta Nicolocchia, Deborah Reyes (John) and Gary Simmons, Jr.; his stepchildren, Ben Phillips and Jessica Phillips; and his siblings, Ricky Simmons (Della), Tony Simmons and Gina Miller (Paul). He is also survived by five grandsons; one great-granddaughter.
