With solemn reverence, we commemorate Malinda Amanda Aswegan (Ankeny, Iowa), born in Bremer, Iowa, whose life came to an end on April 18, 2024 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, August Brandt and Maria Brandt (Thies); and her husband Erwin John Aswegan. She is survived by : her children, Michael (Beth) of Las Cruces, NM, Mary Catron (Craig) of Ankeny, James (Robbie) of Alleman and Jackie Horton (Tom) of Woodbine, GA; and her grandchildren, Kelly, Elise, Rebekah, Mandy, Sarah and Holly. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, and three sisters.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (1100 SE Sharon Dr, Ankeny, IA 50021). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
