She was predeceased by: her parents, August Brandt and Maria Brandt (Thies); and her husband Erwin John Aswegan. She is survived by: her children, Michael (Beth) of Las Cruces, NM, Mary Catron (Craig) of Ankeny, James (Robbie) of Alleman and Jackie Horton (Tom) of Woodbine, GA; and her grandchildren, Kelly, Elise, Rebekah, Mandy, Sarah and Holly. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
