Karen Kay Kaplan Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Kay Kaplan (Aredale, Iowa), who passed away on July 17, 2018, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Merle Kaplan; and her parents, DeLos Liekweg and LaVeta Liekweg. She is survived by : her children, Kent DeLos Kaplan (Kim) and Lisa Jean Stodghill (Traviss); her grandchildren, Austin (Amy), Beau, Olivia Kaplan, Karrson, Jarrett and Lyddia Stodghill; her great grandchildren, Alaina Kaplan and Chesney Kaplan; and her sister Connie Sorensen (Mike).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation and Ankeny First United Methodist Church.
