It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Wood of Atalissa, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on July 2, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lloyd Wood and Marie Wood (Rife) of Tipton; his son Brett Wood; his siblings, Gary Wood, Beverly Yerington and Linda Boyer; his parents-in-law, Ray Isabel and Wilma Isabel; his siblings-in-law, Bill Isabel, Bob Isabel, Harry Yerington, Jerry Christensen and Jan Hayzlette (Isabel); his nieces, Tammy Christensen and Jessie Holt; and his nephew Jacob Holt.

He is survived by : his wife Barbara; his son Doug Wood; his daughter-in-law Teresa Biles (Jon); his grandson Jaydon Biles; his brother Keith Wood (Carolyn); and his sisters-in-law, Betty Holt (Gerald), Cathy Johnson (Isabel) and Sandy Rummells. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Attendees are encouraged to dress casually and bring the personal level of COVID-19 protection they feel comfortable wearing.

In lieu of flowers, family has set up two memorial funds: Unity Point Hospice and Mechanicsville Specialty Care Center.
