He was predeceased by : his parents, John Christian Marinus and Jenasena Hansen (Mann); his wife Darlene E. Hansen; his son Danny Thomas Christensen; and his siblings, Carl Nielsen, Vernon Hansen, Warren Hansen, Robert Hansen, Raymond Hansen and Karen Hansen.
He is survived by : his children, Jennie (Todd Cogley) of Audubon, Iowa, Shiela (Tom Siepker) of Audubon, Iowa, Connie Schmidt of Fairmont, Shawna Hansen of Audubon, Iowa, Ray Hansen of Audubon, Iowa, Jay Hansen of Audubon, Iowa and John (Lisa Hansen) of Audubon, Iowa; his grandchildren, Tami Smid, Todd (Jacquie Schmidt), Angel Siepker (Scott Hogue), Dan Hansen, Jenn Hansen (Cameron Selix), Kenneth (Alayna Hansen), Jared (Sadie Hansen), Bliss Weitl, Pamela Hansen (Sam Sides), John Lee Hansen III (Hilaree Walter) and Jordan Hansen; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Obermeier of Audubon, Marilyn Andersen of Harlan, Iowa and Jeanette Kroger of Harlan, Iowa. He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren.
