He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Steger and Edwina Klein Steger; and his brother Arnold Steger (Lillian). He is survived by: his wife Joanne Sahm; his children, Steve Steger (Kathy) of Balltown, Laura Clemen (Dan) of Holy Cross, IA, Julie Slattery (Dan) of Waunakee, WI and Amy Duehr (Tony) of Balltown; his grandchildren, Kelsey Hill (Chad), Gina Osmanski (Will), Nicole Clemen, Maria Steger, Kyle Steger, Zachary Steger, Samantha Slattery, Ellen Slattery, Olivia Duehr and Jack Duehr; his great grandchildren, Haylee and Harper Hill; and his siblings, Billy Steger (Donna) of Dubuque, Jerry Steger (Connie) of Dubuque and Mary Ann Lex (Allen) of Dubuque. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Hospice of Dubuque.
