She was predeceased by : her parents, George "Nate" Tucker and Beulah Tucker-Christensen (Herrick); her husbands, Chuck and Earl; her granddaughter Brooklyn Melton; her great grandchild Emmett Grove; her son-in-law Adam Varga; her brother Ted; her sister-in-law Judy Tucker; and her close friend Jeanie Farnsworth.
She is survived by : her friend Earl Christensen; her children, Lori Phillips (Steve) of Ida Grove, IA, Lisa Anderson, Glen Hanson of Greenfield, IA, Lynn Christensen (Tedd) of Fontanelle, IA, Chuck Tromp (Tasha) of Clay Center, KS, Leslee Smith (Josh) of Ankeny, IA and Rocky Melton (Dixie) of Castana, IA; and her sister Dixie Sorensen (Mike) of Greenfield, IA. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; extended family and friends.
Joyce unselfishly cared for her friends, neighbors and community as well as donated to several organizations such as St. Jude Children's Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project, to name a few.
