Van Houten Cooper of Battle Creek, Iowa, born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on April 5, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Sweeney and May Sweeney (Cain); her husbands, Kenneth Van Houten of Battle Creek, IA and Darrell Cooper of Onawa; her stepson Harold Cooper; and her siblings, Virginia, Kathryn, Jean, Madonna, William, James, Thomas, Joseph and Jerry.
She is survived by : her son Steven Van Houten of Indian Trail, NC; her grandchildren, Stephanie Parker of Aurora, CO, Dale Drew (Tina) of Arvada, CO, Stacey Van Houten of Aurora, CO, Joshua Van Houten (Rachel) of Loveland, CO and Laura Johnson (Kurt) of Albuquerque, NM; her great grandchildren, Michael Cordova, Ryan Drew, Gracie Drew, Cooper Johnson, Maddi Parker, Kevin Parker, Hadden Johnson and Alice Van Houten; her sister Rosemary Schroeder; and her sisters-in-law, Sandy Sweeney and JoAnn Hanegan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Wanda's name may be directed to the Battle Creek Ambulance or the Willow Dale Wellness Village.
