It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James E. Arens of Belle Plaine, Iowa, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rene Arens and Madeline Arens (DeNeve); and his daughter-in-law Dena Arens. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Cronbaugh of Belle Plaine; his children, Dan Arens of Belle Plaine and Julie Bashara (Shaun Shannon) of Grimes; his grandchildren, Taylor (Michael), Tyler (Dani), Nathan, Ava and Lily; his great grandchild Carter; and his siblings, Ed Arens, Joyce Russell (Steve), Jean Sippy (Tom) and Janet Balvin (Larry).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service (1704 7th Ave, Belle Plaine, IA 52208). A vigil service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (1302 9th Ave, Belle Plaine, IA 52208).
