He is survived by: his spouse Anna VanSpeybroeck; his children, Dawn Hayek (Kurt Johnston) of Hilmar, CA, Cole Hayek and Christina Hayek of Oelwein; his grandchildren, Alexandria Garcia, Ashley, Arturo, Alejandro "Shorty", Alyssa Vargas, Devan Eichhorn, Trey, Kayla and Madison Johnston; and his sibling's children, Angie Emerson and Todd Emerson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
