It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ann (Soma) Dorenkamp of Belmond, Iowa, who passed away on January 12, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Norris Soma and Eveline Soma (Johnson); her sisters, Dorothy Barkema, Eleanor Pals, Muriel Durant and Shirley Pals; and her grandson Dustin Dorenkamp.

She is survived by : her husband Donald Dorenkamp of Belmond; her children, David (Helen) of Milford, Kathy Atkinson (Michael) of Hampton, Susan Howe (Bob) of Waverly and Heidi Merfeld (Nick) of Ames; and her siblings, Lois Beisner of Des Moines, Gilman and Charles Soma (Phoebe) of Belmond.

Due to COVID-19, no public visitation will be held.
