It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Nelson of Belmond, Iowa, who passed away on March 5, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Martin Nelson and Caroline Nelson (Hefte); his son Gregory Nelson; and his siblings, Marson, Martin, Roger, Milo, Dale, Clair, Robert V. "Bob", Alma Wilson, Marjorie Nelson, Sadie Brady and Velva Draper.

He is survived by : his grandson Nick; his wife Doris Nelson; his sons, David Nelson (Sue) of Belmond, IA, Dennis Nelson (Laurie) of Belmond, IA, Neal Nelson (Lisa) of Belmond, IA and James Nelson (Stephanie) of Belmond, IA; his grandson Nicholas Nelson (Sarah) of Belmond, IA.; his great grandchildren, Cole Nelson, Elsie Williams, Andrew Nelson, Lindsay, Malia Armour, William Hays, Lillian and Harriet Nelson; and his sister-in-law Barbara Nelson of Santa Barbara, CA.

The loss of his mom and his unique upbringing germinated a life long love and foundation for family and friends.
