She was predeceased by : her parents, John Halfpap and Lena Halfpap (Gartz); her husband Richard Pals; her son Kevin Pals; and her siblings, Phyllis Boelman, Jessie Thayer, Shirley Kuhlers and Kenneth Halfpap.

She is survived by : her daughters, Carolyn Franko of Scottsdale, AZ and Kaye Kurash (Doug) of Mesa, AZ; her grandchildren, Erica Franko, Brendon Franko and Jeremy Kurash (Emily); and her sister-in-law Muriel Halpap of Clarion, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
