He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Ray and Velma Mary Smith; his siblings-in-law, Ray Smith of Pasadena, TX and Kenneth Shannon; and also Lucy Smith of Pasadena, TX.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Greg Smith (Kara), Davenport Frerichs and Sara Frerichs; his grandchildren, Reilly Smith, Claire Smith, Davenport, Jenna, Luke Frerichs and Spirit Lake; and his sister Marjorie Jane Shannon of LaCrosse, WI.. He is also survived by his parents; a brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
