He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry C. "Hank" and Jeanette R. Claussen (Ehlers); his wife Peg; his children, Danet Dexter (Jeff Trenkamp) of Argo, Kelly Benson (Mike) of LeClaire and Jeff Claussen (Jennifer) of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Beau Dexter (Katie), Ashley Dexter (Jenna), Cody Dexter, Cole Claussen, Cale Claussen, Brandon Benson and Brock Benson; his great grandchildren, Nora, Dani and Isabella; his sister Carol Musal of Princeton; and his brother-in-law Alan Musal of Princeton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the LeClaire Cemetery Association, the Pleasant Valley Education Foundation or to the LeClaire 4-H Club.
