He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Goellnitz and Icle Goellnitz (Starr); his stepfather Clarence Wright; and his siblings, Lois Keeney, Betty Foley, Barbara Christensen, Richard and Robert Goellnitz.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne M. Gaier of Bettendorf; and his children, David Goellnitz (Cindy) of North English, Dawn McNabb (Rob) of Silvis and Michael Goellnitz (Brenda) of Davenport.
