Elizabeth Byrd Hazen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Byrd Hazen of Bettendorf, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on November 7, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elmer and Ruth Olive Wilson Waste; her husband Dale Harry Hazen; and her brothers, George and Dr. Richard.
She is survived by: her children, David Hazen (Linda) of Sperry, Janet Wennlund (Roy) of Bettendorf and Dan Hazen (Amy) of Minnetonka, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Helen Garrels and Marilyn Seelinger. She is also survived by five granddaughters and one grandson; eight great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren.
According to the Covid restrictions, visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Elliott Chapel, New London without the family present.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established for Mt. Pleasant First United Methodist Church; Salvation Army; or a charity of your choice.
