He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Watchorn (Everson) and Glen Watchorn. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his stepchildren, Matt Brumfield and Julie Brumfield (Trevor); his grandchildren, Gabby, Noah, Eli and Madelyn; his sister Vicki; his brother-in-law Steve Felsted; his stepsister Donna Yarish (Rod); and his sibling's children, Shawn Sutton (Emily), Libby Kopp (Jay), Terry Yarish (Klare) and David Yarish (Priscilla). He is also survived by his friends and family and adored his grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to King's Harvest Pet Rescue Center or University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
