Ilo Malik Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2019, at the age of 90, Ilo Malik (Bettendorf, Iowa), born in Luxemburg, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Welling and Mathilda Welling (Lake); her daughter Mary Lou; her grandsons, Eric Jackson and Kurt Obertance; and her brother Alois Welling.

She is survived by: her former husband Lawrence Hoffmann; her husband Joseph Malik; her children, James Hoffmann (Cindy) of Moline, Joseph Malik (Cyndi) of Bettendorf, Linda Obertance (Victor), Pat Speth of St. Paul, Cindy Hoffmann-Johnson (Jeffrey) of Bettendorf, Connie Malik of Davenport and Mary Rasmussen (Richard) of Newport Pennsylvania; her siblings, Kathleen Meyer (Merlin) of New Vienna, Iowa and Walter Welling (Judy) of New Vienna; her sister-in-law Maribel Welling of Cassville, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Angie (Antonio), Roxie (Tom), Raymond, Rebecca (Kevin), Nick (Shanan), Joshua, Matthew, Amanda, Rachel (Richard), Rich (Kattie) and Izzy; and her great grandchildren, Domeniqc, Enrique, Diego, R. J., Athea and Freya. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the family to be distributed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Vander Veer Botanical Park.
