It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Slavens (Bettendorf, Iowa), born in Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on September 16, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Slavens and Vesta Slavens (Hickman); his grandchildren, Colin Slavens and Sara Slavens; and his brother Bob Slavens.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Ollar; his sons, John Slavens (Maria), Matt Slavens (Amanda) and Sam Slavens (Chris); his stepchildren, Brad Treiber (Liz), Jill Postel (Mike) and Brett Treiber (Shannon); his sister-in-law Muriel Slavens; his sibling's children, Joe Slavens (Ann) and Jane Flesher (Chris); his aunt Wanda Smith; and his cousins, Marylou Coon, David Smith and Linda Weatherly. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House Endowment, or Rotary International.
