He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Fay E. McReynolds (Washburn); his sister Jeannette Tedell of Moline, Illinois; his stepchildren, Dayna McReynolds of DeWitt, Lori, Myers of Surprise, Arizona, Richard McReynolds (Renee) of Golden, Michael McReynolds of Camp Verde and Robert McReynolds (Barb) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and his sister Virginia Sue Tanner. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
