Laura Moffit Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Moffit (Bettendorf, Iowa), born in Pleasant Valley, Iowa, who passed away on December 15, 2019 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Dodds and Martha Dodds (Johansen); her husband John C. Moffit; her siblings, Aruba Watkins, Annetta Dodds, Lee Charles Dodds and Chester Dodds; her son-in-law Andy Dexter; and her siblings-in-law, Eva Moffit Saur, Amanda Saur, Esther Moffit Shumaker, Alberta Moffit, Clarence Watkins, Russell Saur, George Shumaker, Eldon Holst and William Moffit II.
She is survived by: her children, Eileen Dexter of Eldridge, Sandy Arp (DuWayne) of Durango, Jean Keppy (Glen) of Eldridge, Tom Moffit (Nancee) of LeClaire and John Moffit of Coal Valley, Illinois; and her sisters-in-law, Adeline Dodds of Davenport and Ethel Holst of Davenport. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Savior Presbyterian Church, the Scott County 4-H or the LeClaire Volunteer Fire Department.
