He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Ranum and Vera Ranum (Willis); his former wife Janet Timm; and his siblings, Johnny, Pete, Jean Bryant and Ula Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Huizinga; his children, Melissa Zawada (Rick) and Brian Ranum (Tonya); his stepdaughter Lisa Robinson; his grandchildren, Reese, Chloe, Zoe, Amanda, Hannah and Caleb; and his siblings, Ruth Flannagan (John), Sandy Martin, Sherry Rosensthiel (Marvin), Sharon Roush (Wally), Mary Brenum (Robert), Tom Ranum (Inge), Bill Ranum (Pat) and Paul Ranum (Lynne).
Masks are required and social distancing expected for those attending.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gilda's Club or St. James Lutheran Church of Bettendorf.
