She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hans and Marie Sagner (Stumpf); and her husband Erwin A. Kakert. She is survived by: her children, Karen Johnson, Paul Kakert (Debbie), John Kakert (Carol) and Nancy Hawk (Mark). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her sister-in-law.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Ridgecrest Foundation.
