She was predeceased by: her parents, Konrad Medicus and Margarete Medicus (Meier); her husband Emrel; her daughter Deborah Arguello; her granddaughter Shannon Arguello; her siblings, Konrad Medicus and Lore Medicus; and her son-in-law John Arndt.
She is survived by: her children, Lynda Arndt of Bettendorf, Rhonda Carnahan (Guy) of Coal Valley, Illinois and Jeff Schieberl (Sharon) of Bettendorf; her son-in-law Frank Arguello of Bettendorf; her sister Erna Meier of Munich, Germany; and her sister-in-law Hanni Medicus. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Scott County or to the Bettendorf Public Library.
