He was predeceased by: his parents, Horus Granby and Myrtle Granby (Gilbert); his wife Martha Jane Wirick; and his children, Phyllis Detroyer, Curtis Granby, Doug Granby and Donny Granby.

He is survived by: his children, Betty Jane Gammey of Shelbyville, Mary Bunce of Bettendorf, James Granby of La Vergne and Paul Gnabasik of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
