We are sad to announce that on June 17, 2018, at the age of 68, Rick Michael Martenson (Bettendorf, Iowa), born in Burlington, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John Long and Helen Long; and his parents, Dorothy Martenson (Long) and Diane Martenson (Blough). He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Christine Soncarty (Chuck), David Martenson (Lori), Kevin Goetz (Jaimi) and Matthew Martenson (Tara); his grandchildren, Killian, Bainbridge, Jennifer, Bennett, Campbell, Lucas, Zoe, Patrick, Emmelia, Noah, Colin, Jacob, Max and Owen; his sisters, Mary Mertens, Kitty Martenson and Margaret Els (Heiner); his wife Christine Soncarty (Chuck); his son Mary Mertens; and his sister John Long. He is also survived by numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rick M. Martenson Memorial Scholarship.
