He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joan E. Gillitzer (Kastel) and Bernard "Bud" Gillitzer; and his siblings, Jeff Gillitzer (Lorie) of Bettendorf, Julie Lerch (Johan) of Bettendorf and Todd Gillitzer (Julie) of Bettendorf. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
