He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Bernice Irene Blackburn (Tingwald); and his nephew Jerome Schmidt. He is survived by: his siblings, Janette Schmidt (Jim) of Davenport, Georgia Dugan (Pat Koranda) of Davenport, Kay Blackburn of Davenport, Carol Burton (Lance) of Aberdeen and Clayton Blackburn (Margaret) of Temple, Georgia; and his close friend Cathy Jensen of Davenport.
Memorials may be made to the Handicapped Development Center, St. Paul Lutheran Church, or to the family for a scholarship to Camp Courageous in Tom's name.
