It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Thomas Newton (Blairstown, Iowa), who passed away on February 4, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Donald Newton and Neoma Newton (Niebuhr); his wife Nancy Feiden of Blairstown; his children, Deborah, Don (Kelly) of Luzerne, Deb Mortensen of Alta and Dan (Carrie) of Blairstown; his grandchildren, Seth (Ashley) of Blairstown, Abbey Neve (Deven) of Newhall, Alison and Marcus of Blairstown; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Bryer Neve and Brody Wayne Newton; his siblings, Donna Lahn of Sioux City, Char Majewsky of Costa Mesa, CA and Marv Newton (Carole Harder) of Solvang, CA; his brothers-in-law, Robert Feiden and Tom Dodd of Vinton; his aunt Ilene Meyer of Deep River; his son-in-law Dave Mortensen; his brothers-in-law, Vic Lahn, Bill Majewsky and Arne Olsen; and also, Martin, Hazel Feiden, Evelyn Feiden, Carol Olsen and Janet Feiden. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to either the Christopher J. Rempfer Scholarship Fund (c/o Grace Lutheran Church) to provide financial assistance for future church workers, the Wounded Warrior Project, the Kirkwood Foundation (Wayne Newton Endowed Scholarship), or a charity of your choice in care of Wayne Newton, in honor of his service to others.
