He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Faber and Inez Faber (McAlister); his children, Jackie "Diann" Richmond and Vaughn Douglas Faber; his brothers, Charles, Irvin and Richard "Bruce"; and his sons-in-law, Tom Shepherd and Roy Tarbell.
He is survived by: his significant other Patricia Stevens; his children, Catherine McCarty (Larry), Carolyn Hunter (Gene), Dennis Faber (Sandi), Cheryl Martin (Jack), Cindy Shepherd, Rebecca Engle (John), Patricia Tarbell and Lisa Boley (Ross); and his sister-in-law Marilynn Faber. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tharp Funeral Home (116 Benton Ave E, Albia, IA 52531). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion of Unionville.
A memorial has been established to Welcome Home Soldier and Blakesburg Historical Society.
