It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy G. Friend of Bloomfield, Iowa, born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Herbert R. Grace and Irene Grace (Fogarty); her husband Rocky Friend; her siblings, Herbert Grace and Margaret Westrope; and her stepson Randy Friend.

She is survived by : her former life partner John Aspen; her son Roger Aspen (Judy); her grandson Blake Aspen; her sister Helen Thomas (Larry); her sister-in-law Ione Friend; and her stepchildren, Nancy Goin, Phyllis Masopust, Deborah Schultz and Gary Friend. She is also survived by Many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hastings Evangelical Free Church or Hastings YMCA.
