He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Lee Dean and Margaret Dean (Ralph); his wife Nancy C. Dean; his son Jerry Dean; and his nephew Dennis McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his former wife Cora Lee Wilson; his mother-in-law Nancy Sunstrom (Fairchild); his daughter Wendy Fergusson; his granddaughter Katrina of Roseville, CA; his stepchildren, Jeff Sunstrom (Linda) of Boone, IA, Mike Sunstrom of Boone, IA, Ron Sunstrom (Lisa) of Boone, IA and Marsha Morris (Brian) of Cottage Grove, MN; his sister Annette Steinfels (Richard) of Fort Worth, TX; and his niece Denise Werkmeister (Dennis) of Lake View, IA. He is also survived by 10 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
