He was predeceased by: his parents, Mearl Reed and Ada Reed (Keenan). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Hasstedt; his children, Mearl Reed of Boone and Jean Loper (Ted) of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Patrick Reed of Boone, Ross Reed (Megan) of Ogden, Violet Short (Grant) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Nathan Loper of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his great grandchildren, Harlow and Emery Short.
