He was predeceased by : his parents, Wendell Johnson and Anna Johnson (Amonson); and his son Wayne Johnson. He is survived by : his wife Florence Mary Drury; his brother Richard Johnson of Chandler; his children, Vance Johnson (Jane) of Britt and Cheryl Spear (Gary) of Coal City; and his grandchildren, Justin Johnson (Beth) of Muscatine, Ben Doughan of Indianapolis, Jeff Spear of Coal City, Danielle Ries (Jeffrey) of Cedar Falls, Jennifer Morrison (J. D.) of Morris, Bridget Otto (Ken) of Ely and Andrew Johnson of Britt. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Face coverings and social distancing guidelines are recommended for those in attendance.
The family is requesting memorials in lieu of flowers.
