It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Irene Larson of Buckeye, Iowa, born in Alden, Iowa, who passed away on February 17, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Smith and Dorothy Belle Smith (Yohn); her husband Leo Larson; her sons, Lloyd and Larry; her sister Gladys Buerkley; and her sister-in-law Joan Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Klaffke (Larry) of Buckeye, Barbara Hanna (Donnie) of Buckeye and Sharon Carpenter of Iowa Falls; her grandchildren, Brian Klaffke (Amy), Gena Mitchell (Adam), Kelly Fisher (Darian), Nicholas Hanna (Savannah), Alex Hanna (Chelsea), Joshua Carpenter (Samantha), Michael Carpenter, Zachary Carpenter (Katie) and Kayla Matteson; and her siblings, Carol Palmateer and Walter Smith. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
