It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Klaus of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Everett William and Virginia Ruth Klaus (Eads); his former life partner Kathryn Van Dyke; his wife Katheryn; his son Matthew; and his sisters, Barbara and Patricia.

He is survived by : his son David Klaus of Burlington; his stepdaughters, Julia Phelps of Houston and Amanda Smith of Burlington; his grandchildren, David Klaus and Abygail Klaus; his stepgranddaughters, Julia, Olivia, Hannah and Savannah; and his siblings, Sylvia Ridinger of Trenton, Zanythe Wibstud of Trenton, Iowa and Steve Klaus of Danville, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
