Gwendolyn Barbagiovanni Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gwendolyn Barbagiovanni of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on September 29, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleophus Charles Corley Sr. and Alice Corley (Hoyak); her husband Santo L. "Sam" Barbagiovanni; her daughter Karen Waldrop; her sons-in-law, George Haynes and James Waldrop; and her great grandchild Tatum Ross.
She is survived by: her children, Lana Anderson (Timothy) of Bristol, TN, Susan Haynes of Burlington and R. K. "Kirk" Lucas of Lafayette, IN; her pet Simba; and her sister Kathy Braun. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (508 N 4th St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established for the Divine Mercy Parish.
