He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lewis and Lily Vivian Cox Carspecken; his brother David Lewis Carspecken; and his grandson Shea Belmont. He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Belmont (Kent) of Oskaloosa, Ann Humphrey (Bryan) of Burlington, Julie Gaddis (Calvin) of Burlington and Joanie Price (Bill) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Cody Landgrebe, Zachary Belmont, Grant Humphrey, Maggie Peterson, Keith Gaddis, Alexandra Stetson, Paige Stahly, Sydney Terranella, Sophie Freeman, Sunny Hunt, Arnold and Sergio Price; and his great grandchildren, Zoe Landgrebe, Memphis Landgrebe, Peyton Humphrey, Porter Humphrey, Jack Humphrey, Rayleigh Peterson, Kaedi Gaddis, Acacia Gaddis, Abel Stahly, Willa Stahly, Teddy, Rowan Stetson, Sage, Kalea Terranella, Vivian, Maggie Freeman and Isaiah Price.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Congregational Church (313 N 4th St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the First Congregational Church.
