He was predeceased by : his father Paul Gunnell; and his sister Teresa Gunnell. He is survived by : his mother Doris "Darlene" Gunnell (Baker) of Edina, Missouri; his wife Susan Gunnell of Bussey, Iowa; his son Tanner Gunnell; his grandson Beckett Gunnell; his brothers, Robert Gunnell (Debra) of Stover and Bill Gunnell (Kelle) of Downing; and his nephews, Jason Gunnell, Joe Gunnell and Shane Gunnell.

The family requests all that are attending to please wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jerry Gunnell Memorial Fund.
