He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest William Herman Rohde and Norma Hattie Marie Heinl; and his siblings, LeRoy, Burdette, Clarence and Darlene Fink.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Folkers; his children, Pamela Barr (Deryl), Douglas Rohde (Peggy) of Urbandale, Darwin Rohde (Judy) of Marysville, Washington, Daryl Rohde (Mary) of Albuquerque and Duane Rohde of San Antonio, TX; and his stepchildren, Bradley Brunk (Roxann) of Spencer and Beverly George (Nelson) of Clifford, Michigan. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
